A leading company is seeking a Calendar / Docket Clerk in Downtown Los Angeles, focusing on legal services. This role involves tracking critical deadlines and supporting attorneys in case management. What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Track, calculate, and calendar critical deadlines, including hearings, depositions, expert disclosures, and discovery cutoffs in compliance with court rules and firm procedures
- Communicate calendar events clearly and promptly to attorneys, paralegals, and legal secretaries
- Maintain meticulous records and logs of all deadlines
- Ensure all deadlines are tracked and met
- Manage a high volume of deadlines with minimal supervision
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Previous calendaring or docketing experience, preferably in civil defense litigation
- Strong understanding of court rules and calendaring tools (e.g., LawToolBox, Compulaw, CARET Legal)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong sense of accountability and time management
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working in a legal environment with a focus on civil defense litigation
- Familiarity with various calendaring software tools
