Job summary

Hope Cooperative in Sacramento, CA is seeking a Cal AIM Data Specialist to ensure the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of CalAIM service delivery. This role reviews authorizations and claims, maintains EHR data in Salesforce and HMIS, and supports the revenue cycle with a focus on HIPAA compliance.

You will build client profiles, monitor eligibility, liaise with care plans, and ensure timely documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience with Medi-Cal billing in a behavioral health setting.
• Familiarity with EHR systems (Salesforce, HMIS) and data entry.
• Strong detail-orientation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify entry into EHR systems (Salesforce/HMIS) and submit corrections.
• Build new client profiles in Salesforce from referrals with complete information.
• Maintain authorization status throughout services.
• Maintain census data for residential sites.
• Check monthly Medi-Cal eligibility for CalAim clients.
• Coordinate with billing entities to ensure accuracy of claims.
• Serve as liaison to partnering care plans and attend meetings as needed.
• Complete forms, reports, and paperwork on time.
• Review service reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Protect PHI and follow HIPAA policies.
• Attend to required duties and participate in projects as directed.
