  • Equivalent to Associate's Degree includes NNS Apprentice School graduate, NNPS graduate, or High School/GED with 2 years related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience.
  • High School/GED with 4 years non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience may also qualify.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards.
  • Tests, calibrates, adjusts, and maintains electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro mechanical, and pressure-type measuring and indicating instruments.
  • Sets up calibration sequences, methods and procedures according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and requirements.
  • Disassembles, cleans, repairs, and replaces defective parts of test equipment such as pressure gauges and tension meters.
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

The Role

Calibrates electronic test measuring equipment and signal generating equipment to conform to set standards. Must Have

Associate's Degree and 1 years of relevant experience

One of the following may be used as equivalent to Associate's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:

  • NNS Apprentice School graduate
  • Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
  • High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
  • High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
Nice to Have

Knowledge of computers beneficial but not required. Preferred experience includes machining and instrumentation. Ability to read, interpret, and work to material specifications.
