As a Cake Decorator, you will create beautifully decorated cakes, cupcakes, and baked goods, collaborating with the Bakery team to ensure high-quality, visually appealing products and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate has a passion for decorating, strong attention to detail, and can work in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Duties

• Assist customers with cake and dessert orders, providing recommendations, design ideas, and customization options.
• Ensure timely completion of cake orders per customer specifications, working effectively with the Bakery team.
• Decorate cakes and baked goods using techniques like piping, fondant, airbrushing, and edible paints for various occasions, meeting quality standards.
• Maintain attractive cake displays and monitor decoration supplies inventory.
• Keep work area clean and sanitized, and assist with bakery-related tasks as needed.

Guest Service

• Greet and assist guests courteously, providing knowledgeable answers and resolving complaints professionally.
• Promote a positive environment, communicate effectively, and assist customers with website use.

Community Engagement

• Build relationships with local vendors and organizations, participate in community events to increase store traffic.

Product Handling

• Stock shelves, maintain displays, ensure product freshness, and assist with inventory management.

Cleanliness and Safety

• Maintain a clean work environment, follow safety procedures, and ensure food safety compliance.

Cash Handling

• Operate registers accurately, follow policies on transactions, and secure cash.

Team Collaboration

• Work cooperatively with team members, participate in meetings, and support store goals.

Position Requirements

• Must be 18+, with cake decorating and customer service experience preferred.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Food Handlers Permit required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
