Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.
  2. Responsible for smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customers upon fulfilling their requests.
  3. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.
  4. Ensure customer satisfaction through product availability, quality, outstanding service, and sanitary conditions. Maintain an adequate presentation with a proper variety of cakes to meet customer needs.
  5. Maintain, with the Bakery Manager, the 'Deco Pac' inventories at actual physical levels taken annually, as determined by the corporate office.
  6. Ensure that standards (e.g., butter crème and seasonal colors) are maintained daily.
  7. In collaboration with the bakery manager, maintain production and shrink levels according to company guidelines.
  8. Operate bakery equipment, including ovens, mixers, and utensils.
  9. May be asked to oversee the baker in the absence of the manager and first clerk.
  10. Maintain a high level of customer courtesy and service at all times.
  11. Handle all customer special orders (e.g., cake orders).
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  13. Ensure all associates follow corporate and state sanitation regulations.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned by management and comply with all company policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

6-12 months of related experience. Basic literacy and computer skills. Satisfactory performance reviews. Strong communication skills.
