Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Cake Decorator for our bakery in Waxhaw, NC. You will decorate cakes, assist guests, and maintain quality and freshness of bakery products.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, preparing icing and decorations, labeling, and rotating stock. You will also support other bakery tasks and uphold sanitation standards to ensure a fun, guest-focused shopping experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide polite, friendly greetings and interactions with all guests.
• Prepare product for sale (icing, decorating, pricing, packaging and labeling).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• When requested perform bakery clerk functions.
• Maintain sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area and sales area.
• Properly cleans work area, couplers and decorating bags.
• Maintain organization of the freezer, including proper rotation of product according to variety.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Communicate temperature breakdowns to supervisor.
• Keep supply area neat, clean and tidy at all times.
• Rotate icings and manage dating information.
• Use cake manual as reference material.
• Write on cakes.
• Mix colors according to color chart.
• Master the use of the airbrush.
• Use cake production sheet.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the cake section of the bakery.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs Front Porch duties to ensure guest arrival standard is maintained.
• Announce specials and sale info on the PA system.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
