Job Overview

HOUCHENS FOOD GROUP, INC. is seeking a Cake Decorator with a focus on preparing and decorating cakes to meet customer specifications and quality standards. This full-time position reports to the Deli Manager and requires no travel.

Responsibilities

1. Assemble and prepare cakes, including decorating with icing, gel, drawings, decorating kits, airbrush, edible images, and lettering.
2. Ensure all cakes meet quality standards.
3. Operate and maintain cake equipment safely.
4. Maintain an adequate inventory of decorated cakes, especially during peak times and holidays.
5. Keep the display full and attractive.
6. Provide excellent customer service, being attentive to customer needs.
7. Work as part of a team to ensure quality, cleanliness, and service standards.
8. Clean and organize the work area and stock needed items.
9. Rotate products properly and keep the production area sanitary.
10. Report any issues to the supervisor promptly.
11. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Six months to one year of related experience.
