Job summary

Roche Bros. Supermarkets in Boston area seeks a dedicated Bakery Decorator to prepare and display product, ensure freshness, and provide premier customer service. You will greet customers, assist at the service counter, and help with custom cake orders, icing, decorating, and packaging to meet specifications.

You will operate bakery equipment, stock displays, rotate stock, and maintain sanitation under Roche Bros. guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work as a team member and interact positively with customers.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, with the ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to work a schedule based on the business needs of the store location.

Responsibilities

• Commit to the “Golden Rule” and work with other associates to build a strong bakery team.
• Provide premier customer service, including greeting and responding to questions, assisting at the service counter, and offering product suggestions.
• Dynamically selling products by providing customers with information needed to make product-relation decisions.
• Write on cakes/prepare product to meet customers specifications.
• Icing, decorating, traying, packaging, labeling, pricing products for island refrigerated cases, and maintaining refrigerated service showcase.
• Filling customer special orders, including catering platter offers and custom cake requests, and assisting with delivery and setup as needed.
• Operating the Bakery department mixer.
• Prepare and wrap bakery related products.
• Maintaining Roche Bros., Sudbury Farms high standards for product freshness and sanitation.
• Stock display cases, and keep all bakery ingredients rotated with oldest products first.
