Job summary

Target Corp in Mooresville, NC is seeking a Cake Decorator to join our Food & Beverage team. You will decorate cakes and cupcakes, prepare items for sale, and engage with guests to create a friendly shopping experience on the floor.

We value artistic decorating skills and a welcoming attitude. Prior cake decorating experience is preferred; you must be 18 or older and able to stand for long periods, lift up to 44 pounds, and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Previous cake decorating experience preferred.
• Artistic skills to design and execute customized desserts.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist in finding items or resolving issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
• Decorate cakes and cupcakes to production card specifications and seasonally relevant designs.
• Prep, ice, label and package cakes for display and sale.
• Follow food safety requirements and monitor temperatures of sensitive items.
• Assist with replenishment, inventory accuracy, and store-wide tasks as needed.
