Job summary

Vallarta Supermarkets is hiring a Cake Decorator to prep, decorate, and display cakes, pastries, and baked goods while upholding quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction. This role supports custom cake orders and ensures safety and sanitation in a fast-paced bakery environment.

You will greet customers, maintain attractive displays, and follow company standards. English proficiency and legal work authorization in the U.S. are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Experience decorating cakes or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of cake mixes, fillings, frostings, and decorating tools.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with bakery and cake orders, both in-store and by phone.
• Prepare, decorate, and finish cakes and pastries to customer requests and standards.
• Merchandise, rotate, and stock products to keep displays full and appealing.
• Follow health department regulations and company safety policies.
• Monitor oven and proofer temperatures, prepare dough and batters, and ensure accurate packaging and labeling.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work areas and equipment.
• Communicate supply needs, order from approved vendors, and help control waste.
• Perform additional tasks to support bakery operations and customer satisfaction.
