Job summary

Sam's Club in Evanston, IL is seeking a Cake Decorator to drive member service in the bakery and deliver items our members love. You will work with a team to plan productions, decorate with bags and nozzles, and ensure food safety while maintaining stock and accuracy.

You will collaborate with associates to educate on tools, tasks, and resources, leverage handheld devices to improve the shopping experience, and contribute to a welcoming, high‑quality bakery environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months' experience in fresh production area.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying requires me to successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if I receive the position.

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: collaborate with cross-functional teams and educate associates on tools, tasks and resources; ensure customer service and flex to business needs; maintain in-stock levels and control shrinkage.
• Be an Expert: plan bakery production, ensure quality and accuracy, follow recipes and use decorating bags, tips and nozzles to create flowers and lettering; follow food safety and inventory procedures.
• Be a Techie: use handheld tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and train others on production, merchandise, and quality decisions.
• Be an Owner: drive bakery performance, maintain date control, reduce waste, prep for seasonal events, assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: model high-quality service, mentor and inspire associates, foster teamwork and belonging.
• Complies with policies and ethics; apply Open Door Policy and communicate progress, adapt to change; respect individuals and strengthen teams.
