Job summary

Nugget Markets, Inc. is seeking a cake decorator in West Sacramento, CA. The role focuses on producing beautifully decorated cakes and desserts for a high-volume retail setting, delivering world-class service to guests.

You will stock display cases with fresh products, prepare a variety of cakes and pastries, and support bakers and clerks while maintaining a clean work area. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented position at Nugget Markets, Inc.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• An eye for color, texture and design with an attention to detail.
• Experience in a retail environment producing a large number of cakes/pastries.
• Ability to work at a fast pace while staying focused on completing individual tasks.
• Basic understanding of the English language, which includes the ability to communicate, read and write basic instructions, schedules and signage.
• A positive attitude is essential!

Responsibilities

• Stock the bakery case with an abundance of fresh, beautiful, high-quality products.
• Prepare a variety of cakes, desserts and pastries at a high rate of speed.
• Mix creams, sauces, fillings and icings; apply finishing work to cakes.
• Take guest orders by phone and in-person; assist bakers and bakery clerks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary and attractive work environment.
