How you’ll make the difference

Our bakeries are centers of comfort and happiness within our stores. As a member of our Bakery Department, you'll work alongside a talented team responsible for producing and packaging breads, bagels, sweet treats, and other baked goods that delight our customers. What will you do?

• Bake, produce, and package baked goods
• Provide excellent customer service and answer customer questions promptly
• Maintain fresh and appealing displays by keeping cases and aisles clean and well-stocked
• Maximize sales through effective stocking, rotating, and merchandising of products on the sales floor and in backrooms
• Assist with unloading daily deliveries and stock cases, displays, and backroom coolers with inventory

Work Environment: The physical demands are medium to heavy, including walking, standing for up to 4 hours, repetitive hand and arm movements, occasional heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and continuous customer and coworker interaction in a fast-paced setting. Items typically weigh 5–20 pounds, with occasional lifts over 50 pounds. Assistance with heavy items is available. The environment includes exposure to cold (33–55°F), freezing (-20–20°F), and hot (>85°F) temperatures, with common baking tools and equipment used. Experience in customer service, food service, grocery, or retail, especially in a bakery, is preferred.
