Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $15.00 USD per hour

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by meeting the following commitments:
• Greet guests:
• 10 ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave
• 4 ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction
• Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
• Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience, providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest’s needs over tasks
• Execute Food & Beverage processes, including food deliveries, replenishment, straightening merchandise, instock routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing and organizing and storing reserve product
• Engage with guests to capture and fulfill their customized cake order
• Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards
• Produce, package and label items to specifications on production cards and follow specific department routines to drive sales, instocks and profitability
• Prep, ice and decorate cakes and cupcakes for display that are seasonally relevant and follow production card specifications
• Follow all food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperature of sensitive food items, as outlined in Target’s policies and procedures
• Locate and identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to Target’s policies and procedures
• Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales
• Follow proper perishable inventory procedures to ensure an accurate recording of inventory
• Appropriately use and care for in‑store and personal protective equipment; follow equipment control guidelines
• Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices and training; report hazards and correct where possible
• Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up (OPU) and Drive‑up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties
• All other duties based on business needs

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Previous cake decorating experience preferred, but not required
• Artistic skills to design and execute customized desserts
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and fellow team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
• Work both independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
• Commit to a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times)
• Leverage experience in a highly active and physically demanding role, and demonstrate creativity and problem‑solving skills

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb up and down ladders if needed
• Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without assistance from others
• Work in environments that include refrigeration and freezer temperatures and conditions; where common allergens may also be handled or present
• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties, including but not limited to Drive‑Ups, carry‑out, etc.
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
