Job Responsibilities

1. Assemble and prepare soft serve and Blizzard cakes, including decorating with icing, gel, drawings, decorating kits, airbrush, edible images, and letterings.
2. Ensure all cake products meet Dairy Queen standards of quality and excellence.
3. Meet the requirements of all other staff positions as needed.
4. Prepare and decorate cakes according to customer specifications and standards.
5. Operate and maintain cake and soft serve equipment safely, following health and safety standards.
6. Maintain an inventory of decorated cakes, including backup cakes for peak times.
7. Keep display freezers stocked attractively with a variety of cakes.
8. Conduct sampling and actively promote products.
9. Take and fill customer cake orders professionally and promptly.
10. Provide excellent customer service, being attentive to customer needs.
11. Work as part of a team to ensure quality, service, cleanliness, and value.
12. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
13. Perform cleaning tasks including washing counters, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
14. Report any issues or unusual matters to the supervisor promptly.
15. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Decorate cakes for special orders and walk-in customers according to specifications.
2. Operate the cake production area adhering to PRIDE standards, policies, and procedures.
3. Ensure guest satisfaction through quality, value, service, and cleanliness.
4. Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and customers.
5. Communicate significant issues to management.
6. Exhibit exceptional decorating skills, including floral and character designs. Portfolio required.
7. Cake decorator certification is preferred.
8. Work comfortably in different temperature ranges and under pressure in a high-volume environment.
9. Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
10. Follow instructions precisely, including replicating drawings and letters.
11. Adhere to food-handling regulations and maintain good personal hygiene.
12. Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude and promptness.
