Summary

Cake Decorators are primarily responsible for guest satisfaction, building a reputation for excellent service by delivering consistent, high-quality products that make every event or occasion feel special.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet, acknowledge, and engage guests upon entry to the department
• Maintain a positive atmosphere and morale within the team
• Support division concepts and programs
• Ensure the availability of quality products and solutions for guests
• Follow Bakery Food Safety Procedures and Sanitation Schedule
• Perform all decorating tasks
• Assist in developing team members using available materials and systems
• Safeguard, control, and monitor bakery department assets
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Follow recipes and procedures using approved ingredients
• Maintain quality, skills, and productivity levels
• Use department systems and processes consistently and correctly
• Complete special orders and wedding cakes per department policy
• Assist with break-out and dishwashing tasks as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Key Requirements

• Preferably one year's experience in cake decorating
• Ability to work efficiently at a fast pace
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and walk as required
• Lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
• Work in a freezer for up to 15 minutes
• Basic math skills
• Open to supervisory coaching
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Current food safety certification
• Team-oriented attitude
