Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services, Inc. seeks a Deli Bakery Associate with cake decorating experience to serve military personnel and families at one of our 103 US Military Commissary locations.

Responsibilities include decorating cakes in 15–20 minutes, stocking cases and displays, and maintaining a welcoming, sanitized environment. The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Experience in retail cake decorating.
• Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
• Effective and friendly communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift.
• Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time.
• Team player.

Responsibilities

• Decorate a cake in 15-20 minutes start to finish.
• Fill production cases and/or stock the floor or display tables with baked goods.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer service, teamwork with positive communication, and assist other team members as needed.
• Ensure proper sanitation of the department, equipment, and proper food handling/preparation.
• Demonstrate the ability to work in fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
