Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is seeking a Laboratory Animal Care Technician to support daily care for laboratory animals and facility maintenance under supervision. You will follow safety protocols, operate cage washing and processing equipment, and perform sanitation to uphold high standards of cleanliness across animal rooms.

No prior experience is required, and a High School diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience: No experience required.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with PPE and safety procedures.
• Operate cage wash, autoclave, and sanitation logs.
• Prepare and sanitize animal caging and bedding; report issues.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and supply logs.
• Adhere to attendance and weekend shift requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
