Description

SUMMARY: Responsible for balancing bank drawer within the casino's cash operations, maintaining accuracy throughout the balancing process of their shift. Assists with department operations in a customer service-friendly, efficient, and profitable manner that promotes superior staff, customer, and vendor relations. The ultimate objective of this position is to help advance the Seminole Nation by delivering value and signature moments every day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creates and supports a work environment focused on building high-trust relationships by extending support and respect to all.
• Accurately balances assigned cashier bank.
• Ensures all jackpots and manual payouts are paid according to proper procedures and in a timely manner.
• Completes all required IRS forms.
• Cashes gaming tickets into money for guests courteously and promptly.
• Complies with all Title 31 requirements and internal control standards.
• Cashes personal checks and processes credit card transactions for currency.
• Assists other Cashiers within Cage as needed.
• Verifies and issues prize checks to guests when necessary.
• Resolves problems effectively.
• Prepares reports as requested.
• Seeks efficiency in Cage departments without undermining rules/regulations.
• Maintains high accuracy and thoroughness in departmental records and reports.
• Demonstrates effective computer literacy skills with Microsoft programs and database systems.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Equivalent to high school education or job-specific skills acquired through on-the-job training or an apprenticeship, with three (3) to twelve (12) months of related experience.

Managerial Responsibility: No supervisory responsibility.

Problem Solving: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and respond to inquiries from employees or guests. Must be a team player.

Physical Demands: Moderate physical exertion including long periods of standing, repetitive lifting of lightweight objects, frequent bending or stooping, and occasional lifting of objects over 50 pounds.

Workplace Environment: Indoors with frequent exposure to loud noises and fumes, such as cigarette smoke.
