Job Description:

The cage cashier handles financial transactions including exchanging cash for casino tokens, performing credit checks, and cashing checks. Cage cashiers provide prompt, courteous, and accurate service to all patrons.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Maintain concentrated attention to detail for sustained periods.
• Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity approximately 75% of the time.
• Issue and receive funds for chips, tokens, checks, coins, and promotional items.
• Provide necessary operating funds to other departments.
• Ensure compliance with Title 31 regulations, Nevada Gaming regulations, and company policies and procedures.
• Balance assigned funds and keep an organized workstation.
• Operate computers, coin sorters, money sorters, office equipment, telephones, and key control systems.
• Maintain and complete various gaming and company forms and reports.
• Report any monetary or procedural discrepancies promptly to supervisors or managers.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and internal controls.
• Cash personal checks, traveler checks, and payroll checks.
• Input customer information into the computer system.
• Sell change and tokens.
• Cash casino chips and loose change.
• Monitor key control procedures.
• Execute ticket payouts.
• Provide quality customer service to guests, recognizing and greeting guests frequently.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
