Responsibilities
  1. Prepare all food items for line cooks, including hot, cold, and baked products.
  2. Maintain proper food temperatures during preparation and service.
  3. Pre-prep food according to the menu and notify the chef of shortages.
  4. Keep production areas clean, neat, and organized, following established cleaning procedures.
  5. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  6. Understand and adhere to standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards.
  7. Collaborate with team members and perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 1.5 years of corporate kitchen prep experience.
  • Valid Food Handler’s Card, kitchen knives, and non-slip shoes before starting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 35 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, with exposure to cold, heat, and water.
  • Basic professional cooking and knife handling skills.
  • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of healthful, nutritional cuisine.
  • Passion for food and cooking, with 2+ years of experience or culinary education. Training available for basics.
  • Strong communication skills and high standards of conduct and confidentiality.
  • Interest in expanding culinary skills and career growth.
  • Experience in high-volume food service or related fields preferred.
  • Customer service oriented, adaptable, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Pay & Benefits

Base pay ranges from $27.75 to $34.65/hr, with most new hires starting at $27.75. Compensation includes stock programs, medical/dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounts, educational reimbursement, bonuses, and relocation options. Learn more about Apple Benefits.
