Job summary

North Branford Public Schools is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker for North Branford Intermediate School. The role runs 4 hours daily, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., performing quantity food preparation and serving duties on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, prior experience in quantity food prep and service, and familiarity with food sanitation. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and operate a POS system are required.

Qualifications

WORK SCHEDULE

SALARY

As specified in the Agreement between the North Branford Board of Education and the Local 1303-382 of AFSCME Council 4

RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with quantity food preparation
Assist with daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions
Set-up and breakdown serving lines
Ability to work in a friendly manner with co-workers, manager and students
Most be able lift and or move up to 40 pounds
May operate cash register POS system
