Job summary

Johnson & Wales University in Providence is seeking a dedicated supervisor to oversee sanitation and product standards within campus dining operations, ensuring safe, high‑quality service. You will supervise staff, monitor compliance with food safety regulations, support daily tasks, and help develop the team to deliver excellent food service to students and staff.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with hospitality experience and the ability to obtain a Food Protection Manager

Summary

Essential Job Functions

• Monitors sanitation regulations and procedures in order to comply with university and government standards
• Oversees inventory, storage
• Supports the department by assisting on various operational tasks
• Prepares and monitors the departmental budget
• Supervises and develops the department staff, facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established university, campus and department policies and procedures
• Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Experience working in hospitality, foodservice or other related experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain food safety managers certification approved by conference for food protection
• Ability to work days, evenings and weekends
