Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon is looking for a friendly cafeteria cashier under the direction of the Department Manager or Supervisor. You will assist in set up and maintain the cafe serving area, and ensure sanitation standards are met according to hospital and state requirements.

Responsibilities include preparing coffee, assembling and delivering service, handling cash, keeping the serving area clean, stocking items, and assisting with dishwashing.

Qualifications

• Recent restaurant or health care food service experience in host/hostess, cashier, or stock salad bar roles.
• Catering, banquets and luncheons experience is preferred.
• Effective oral communication, legible writing, ability to follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee and assemble/deliver service items; set up and maintain serving area.
• Handle cash and operate the cash register following procedures; keep areas clean.
• Stock and rotate items; assist with dishwashing and coordination with staff.
