Job summary

Applitrack is hiring a Receiving Kitchen Cook to support the Food Service department in a school cafeteria. The role involves preparing and serving meals, reading recipes, and maintaining a clean kitchen area with adherence to safety guidelines.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, plus six months of related food service experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Compliance with state permits and certifications is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and six months of relevant food service experience preferred.
• OR any equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Must possess or obtain an Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Must pass a background clearance check.
• Must obtain within one month of employment and maintain a State of Arizona Food Handlers Permit.
• Must obtain Peoria USD Cook Safety Certificate.
• May be required to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
• May be required to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the manager to plan preparation, portion sizes and timing.
• Read recipes, measure ingredients, and perform basic prep tasks.
• Prepare entrees, vegetables, and serving line items for meals.
• Serve meals, assist customers, and handle cashiers during mealtimes.
• Maintain and clean kitchen areas, equipment, and supplies.
• Receive deliveries, rotate stock, and assist with inventories.
• Support kitchen and cafeteria operations as needed.
