Job summary

Twinsburg City School District is seeking a Lunchroom/Playground Assistant at Dodge Intermediate School. The role supports students during mealtime and playtime, helps keep tables clean, and ensures orderly behavior in the cafeteria and on the playground.

Responsibilities include assisting with food distribution, supervising dismissal, and reporting any safety concerns to staff. A permit from the Ohio Department of Education is required; prior school aide experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Educational Aide Permit issued by the Ohio Department of Education.
• Experience as lunch or food service aide in a school setting.
• Ability to supervise students during meals and playtime.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of students.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the cafeteria during mealtime.
• Ensure tables and surrounding areas are clean.
• Supervise playground and classroom during lunch hour.
• Assist with food purchases, distribution, disposal, and tray return.
• Keep students seated in assigned areas and circulate to assist.
• Help organize groups for orderly cafeteria dismissal.
• Report safety concerns or incidents to staff as appropriate.
