Cafeteria - General Worker - 3 Hour Position

Job Goal

To provide quality, nutritious meals and snacks to students and faculty with professional and courteous service.

Performance Responsibilities

• Attend and complete annual trainings required by the District.
• Complete required training hours for Professional Standards in nutrition programs annually.

Additional Duties

• Maintain high sanitation standards in kitchen and cafeteria at all times.
• Maintain professional and courteous relationships with customers and co-workers.
• Ensure an efficient, productive, safe, and sanitary work station.
• Understand meal pattern regulations and serving requirements established by the Bureau of Child Nutrition.
• Familiarity with storeroom procedures and first-in-first-out (FIFO) inventory management.
• Assist in preparing, packaging, and setting up meals and kiosks.
• Serve food during lunch service.
• Clear and clean trays, pans, and work areas in a sanitary manner.
• Wash trays and pans and store them properly.
• Count money, record production, and complete deposit slips.
• Operate food service equipment independently.
• Perform duties related to special functions as directed by the Cafeteria Manager.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Cafeteria Manager.

Note: Preference will be given to qualified residents of the Black Horse Pike Regional School District, per policy 4125.
