Job summary

Presidential Staffing Solutions, LLC is seeking a Food Service Worker to join the team at a VA Health Center in the Portland metro area. You will perform routine tasks including food preparation, counter service, cashiering, inventory rotation, and sanitation maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in similar roles and knowledge of food safety guidelines are valued. Evening and weekend availability is required to support cafeteria operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a busser, barback, food runner, or similar position is preferred.
• Familiarity with food safety guidelines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work evening and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation & Service
• Basic Assembly: Preparing simple menu items, trimming produce, slicing meats, and assembling patient trays or student meals.
• Line Serving: Setting up, refilling, and serving hot or cold items on the cafeteria line.
• Portion Control: Measuring exact servings according to specific recipe cards or medical diet restrictions.
• Catering Setup: Transporting meal carts and setting up designated layout spaces for events.
