Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S.
• Reliable transportation
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Good math, record keeping and organizational ability
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices
• Ability to run a computerized cash register and count money accurately

Responsibilities

• Prepares or assists in the preparation, service and clean-up of meals using standardized recipes, designated portion sizes and proper sanitation procedures.
• Serve children with a positive attitude.
• Follows work schedules, plans and organizes duties prior to beginning tasks.
• Stores, utilizes and disposes of food and supplies following regulations.
• Follows sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen and kitchen equipment.
• Performs such other tasks as may be assigned.
• Responsible for correctly identifying meal components for accurate reimbursable counts
• Spot mop and sweep spills in the kitchen/serving line area
• Cleaning of work areas, equipment and cafeteria tables
