Job summary

Department of War Education Activity (DOWEA) seeks a Cook to prepare meals in a DoDEA cafeteria in Tennessee. Follow standard recipes, menus, and Army and CACFP guidelines, coordinating with a supervisor on feeding plans and allergies.

The role covers simple cooking tasks, from pancakes and eggs to burgers and vegetables, with variety in prep methods. Maintain sanitation, safety, and cleanliness of kitchen and equipment daily.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Experience working with professional kitchen appliances and equipment.
• Resumes must be two pages (or less).

Responsibilities

• Cook in a DoDEA Cafeteria IAW all applicable regulations and standards.
• Follow recipes and menus IAW CACFP and Army policies, coordinating feeding plans and substitutions.
• Prepare a range of simple cooked items (pancakes, eggs, burgers, vegetables).
• Prepare food with peeling, chopping, grinding, dicing, breading, and other prep steps; operate kitchen equipment.
• Maintain and clean all equipment and work areas after use.
