Job summary

Academy District 20 in Colorado Springs is seeking a Part-time Cafeteria Helper at Ranch Creek Elementary School to perform monitoring and clerical duties and to assist with meal service.

You will work 3.75 hours per day, 162 days per year, with a focus on accurate meal counts, deposits, and POS entry (Infinite Campus), while maintaining confidentiality and providing friendly service to students, staff, and families.

Qualifications

• First Aid/CPR certification required.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to establish and maintain accurate record keeping, document management, and filing systems.
• Computer proficiency including office productivity applications.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Reports for work as scheduled and completes daily school cafeteria paperwork (lunch reports, deposits).
• Sells and tracks lunch purchases in the POS system in accordance with CDE/USDA regulations.
• Ensures all components of reimbursable meals are present per USDA/CDE requirements.
• Attends mandatory training events on meal count procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality and interacts with students, staff, and the public professionally.
