A leading hospitality company is looking for a dedicated food service worker. Responsibilities include setting up cafeteria lines, serving food, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring timely service. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and strong communication skills, with a commitment to providing excellent service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Understands and responds to internal guests' needs. Communicates in a friendly, respectful, and understandable manner. Politely provides consistent, timely, and accurate information and seeks answers when unsure. Uses outlined service behaviors when interacting with guests. Meets expected service delivery times as defined by department standards or as required by the receiver of service or goods. Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating with colleagues within the department and other departments. Speaks positively about the company, co-workers, and guests.
Responsible for setting up the cafeteria line, displaying and serving all hot and cold foods, and maintaining cleanliness and sanitary conditions. Ensures cleanliness of food lines and work areas, including the employee dining room, tables, chairs, microwaves, coolers, walls, and windows. Communicates food issues and supply needs to management. Receives and inspects food supplies from the storeroom, reporting discrepancies. Stocks supplies such as dishes, utensils, salad bar items, ice, popcorn, and bread. Cleans side stations, refills linen supplies, and manages dirty linens. Maintains a supply of coffee and non-alcoholic beverages. Ensures cleanliness of food lines and work areas, including floors and walkways. Handles dish removal and replenishment. Must be able to stand for long periods, up to eight hours, and be mobile throughout the hotel. Capable of lifting large trays and pushing carts with supplies.
EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read and write English sufficiently to perform the job.
