Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a Cafeteria Associate to support daily food service in our Main Cafeteria at NYC sites. You will deliver outstanding customer service to patients, staff, and visitors while maintaining clean, organized workstations.
You will assist with meal preparation, handling transactions, and contributing to a welcoming dining environment for all guests. This is a fast-paced role requiring flexibility across shifts, including early mornings and evenings.

If you're passionate about hospitality, food service, and delivering an exceptional customer experience, As a Cafeteria Associate, you'll play an important role in supporting daily food service operations by providing outstanding customer service, preparing and serving food, maintaining clean and organized workstations, and helping create a positive dining experience for everyone who visits our Main Cafeteria.
Provide quality food service to patients, staff, and visitors in our Main Cafeteria with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Set up, maintain , and break down workstations, including equipment, serving ware, utensils, supplies, and food items to ensure smooth meal service.
Prepare or serve food and beverages to patrons, process transactions using a cash register, and maintain a clean, sanitary environment.
Utilize grill and short-order cooking skills to create quick, delicious meals.
Strong commitment to productivity and delivering high standards of customer service.
Motivated, action-oriented, and ready to take on new challenges with energy and passion.
Adaptable and able to respond effectively to the varying demands of a dynamic environment.
Skilled decision-maker with a track record of timely , proactive choices that benefit the team and customers.

Proficient in basic math functions for handling transactions.
Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift, carry, and push equipment up to 30 lbs.
Previous experience in food service, customer service, or cash handling required .
A Food Handler's Certificate is a plus.
At least one year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
Location: 1275 York Ave ( NYC Sites )
Schedule: Various shifts available Monday - Friday, 4:30AM - 12:30AM, including rotating weekends. Holidays required .
