Job summary

NEXDINE Hospitality in Danvers, MA is seeking a Café Worker to support front-of-house operations, serve customers, and assist with light food prep and salad bar duties. The role includes stocking displays, maintaining coolers, and helping with checkout processes, always with a focus on guest satisfaction.

You will work closely with the Chef Manager, uphold cleanliness, and contribute to a team-oriented environment while delivering courteous service to every guest.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous food/customer service experience preferred in a corporate dining setting.
• Must be dependable with excellent customer service and be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist front-of-house operations, including serving and cashier support.
• Provide light food prep and salad bar maintenance.
• Stock coolers, displays, and workstations; keep areas clean.
• Wash dishes, handle trash removal, and assist with other duties as needed.

In addition, the Café Worker will work as part of a team assisting with washing dishes, trash removal and other utility-related duties. We all work together as a team!This is a front of the house position; exceptional customer service skills with a can-do attitude are a must!Essential Functions and Key Tasks:Set up and restock product, displays, coolers and workstations as neededLight food prep including baking cookies, preparing salad bar and grab and go itemsSalad bar includes - wash, peel and cut various foods such as fruits and vegetables to prepare for cooking and/or servingPrepare and replenish the salad barTransfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks or cartsWash dishes, pots and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand as well as trash removal and storage in appropriate containersMake sure the customers are being taken care of and the department looks clean and presentable at all timesCoffee Bar serving customersback up cashier when neededProvide excellent customer service to include being attentive, approachable, greeting and thanking customers entering and exiting the caféIn addition, the Café Worker works with and takes direction from the Chef ManagerRequirements:High school diploma or equivalentPrevious food/customer service experience preferably within a corporate dining settingMust be dependable and have excellent customer service skillsMust be able to pull and lift up to 40 poundsMust be able to work independently as well as a team player
