Job summary

Breckenridge Grand Vacations is seeking a Café Supervisor for Ullr Café at The Grand Colorado on Peak 8. You will lead a team to deliver warm, welcoming service for guests and ensure smooth daily operations, from barista duties to staff scheduling and inventory management.

The role emphasizes guest experience, teamwork, and adherence to health and safety standards, with varied shifts and a strong focus on community values and mountain hospitality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in food & beverage, café, or restaurant operations.
• Strong customer service with guest-focused attitude.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.
• Comfort using computers and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in daily café operations and staff supervision.
• Train, coach, and develop café staff to ensure excellent service.
• Delegate tasks, monitor productivity, and maintain quality control.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation guidelines are followed by all staff.
• Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures, food prep, and beverage service.
• Maintain inventory, restock supplies, and keep the café clean and organized.
• Conduct staff evaluations and support career growth.
• Schedule staff shifts and manage attendance and time-off requests.

Café Supervisor

Location: Ullr Café at The Grand Colorado on Peak 8

Position Type: Full-Time Non-Exempt Compensation: $18.00-$20.75/hr. + gratuities

Schedule: Varied including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Food & Beverage Manager in daily café operations and staff supervision.

• Delegate tasks, monitor productivity, and maintain quality control.
• Ensure all staff follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Oversee opening/closing procedures, food prep, and beverage service (coffee, sandwiches, baked goods).
• Maintain inventory, restock supplies, and keep the café clean and organized.
• Conduct staff evaluations, provide feedback, and support career growth.
• Schedule staff shifts and manage attendance, tardiness, and time-off requests.
• Uphold company policies, hospitality standards, and brand culture.
• Operate POS systems, handle cash, and follow proper cash‑handling procedures.
• Foster a positive, team‑oriented work environment.
• Stay informed about resort updates, promotions, and local events.
• Perform barista and food prep duties as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum 1 years of experience in food & beverage, café, or restaurant operations.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, guest‑focused attitude.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.
• Basic math skills (handling cash, calculating discounts, etc.).
• Comfort using computers (Microsoft Office, email, POS systems).
• Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift to 50 lbs. Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain upon hiring).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous supervisory experience in a café, coffee shop, or restaurant.
• Barista experience (espresso preparation, latte art, etc.).
• Knowledge of food safety & sanitation regulations (ServSafe certified a plus).
• Familiarity with scheduling software.
• Experience in a resort or high‑volume hospitality setting. Passion for coffee, food, and mountain culture.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish a plus)
