Job summary

Walmart in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring for a Team Member in the prepared foods area. You will learn product specifications, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help educate other associates on tools and resources while adapting to business needs.

You will prepare food to item specs, plan for seasonality, and maintain sanitation, inventory, and cold chain standards, using handheld devices to run day-to-day operations and improve the customer experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.
• Food Safety Certification and Food Handler Certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications for prepared food and educate associates.
• Prepare food according to item specifications and plan for seasonality and mass productions.
• Leverage handheld digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and train teammates.
• Stock and rotate merchandise, ensure quality and date control, and resolve member issues.
• Act as a brand ambassador, support training, and uphold policies and integrity.
