The International House at UC Berkeley is seeking a part-time Cafe Shift Assistant for Edmonds Café in Berkeley, CA. You will deliver high-quality customer service, prepare beverages and food, operate the POS, and help train student workers during evening shifts (3-7 pm PST).

Schedule: Part-time, up to 20 hours/week, primarily working the evening shift from 3 - 7 pm (PST)
About this Position:
The Café Shift Assistant supports the day-to-day operations of Edmonds Café by providing consistent, high-quality customer service and ensuring café standards are upheld during each shift. This role is hands‑on and service-focused, with responsibilities that include preparing coffee and beverages, assisting with food service, operating the point-of-sale system, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and supporting opening and closing procedures. The Café Shift Assistant also helps guide and train student workers on shift, communicates important shift updates, and supports inventory and compliance needs to ensure smooth and efficient café operations.
Other duties as assigned.
