Job summary

The Rabbit Hole in North Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced Cafe Prep Cook for a part-time role with potential to become full-time. Duties include daily food prep, kitchen organization, cleaning, and some public-facing tasks at the cafe counter.

Baking or event support experience is a plus. Responsibilities include station prep, inventory tracking, and assisting with donor and rental events, while maintaining sanitation and a clean workspace.

Job description

The Rabbit hOle is seeking an experienced, creative individual to join our kitchen team as a Cafe
Prep Cook. The qualified candidate will work on daily food preparation tasks, kitchen
organization, cleaning and upkeep. This position will include public facing tasks including POS
interactions and bussing tables. It may also include some cooking and baking as well. This is a
part-time position with the potential of becoming full time. Baking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with kitchen supervisor to prep menu items and set up stations for food service.
• Work with kitchen supervisor to keep food prep on schedule.
• Wash, chop and portion ingredients as needed.
• Label, date and stock ingredients properly as needed.
• Follow all sanitation and food safety guidelines.
• Assist in preparations and food service for donor events, rental events and special group visits, sometimes after hours.
• Work with kitchen supervisor to track inventory and create weekly food orders.
• Maintain a clean and code compliant work space at all times.
• Assist with additional kitchen tasks as needed.
