Job summary

Erewhon Market in Culver City is seeking a Café Associate to deliver friendly, high‑quality service in a busy café. You will lead with strong communication, collaborate with the café team, and create memorable guest experiences.

You will know the Erewhon brand and café menu, prepare food to safety standards, maintain a clean workspace, and engage with guests while working with teammates to ensure smooth operations and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer service, retail or food service experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or able to provide a work permit.

Responsibilities

• Lead the cafe as a frontline ambassador for Erewhon Market. Communicate clearly with customers and cafe team.
• Know the Erewhon brand and cafe menu inside out.
• Provide prompt and courteous service to guests in the café.
• Prepare food according to quality and food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitized work area.
• Engage with guests and prepare orders with accuracy and speed.
• Work as part of a team and assist management as needed.

What You Will Do:

• The Café is the forefront of customer service and hospitality for the store. It is imperative that this person exhibits strong communication skills, as he/she communicates directly with the café team and will need to communicate effectively with customers. Café Associates should have natural leadership skills and an optimistic attitude and be willing to go above and beyond for their customers.


• Full understanding and knowledge of the Erewhon brand and overall Café menu.


• Provides prompt and courteous services to guests in the Café.


• Prepares food according to quality and food safety standards.


• Maintains a safe, clean & sanitize work area that is appealing to our guests.


• Engage with guests and prepare their orders with accuracy and efficiency.


• Work as a team player.


• Other duties as assigned by management.

What You Will Bring:
