Job summary

Job description

Primary functions of this role include:

1. Maintaining a positive attitude and promoting a team environment to exceed customer expectations
2. Assemble freshly made per order soups, salads and gourmet sandwiches
3. Following proper procedures for food handling and personal safety

Additional roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Exceed our customers expectations for service and provide a welcoming environment
2. Ensure customers receive prompt, friendly and courteous service in a professional manner
3. Ensure that product displays are maintained, full, clean, and attractive at all times
4. Produce food products that meet our standards of quality and quantity
5. Fulfill customer orders and serve all food items in a timely and efficient manner
6. Consistently replenish products to ensure freshness and visibility
7. Help customers make product selections by answering questions and providing information about ingredients in all food items.
8. Be willing to taste all food products produced by food service and follow department procedures for tasting.
9. Ensure accurate and sanitary product processing, packaging, labeling, dating, and pricing as needed
10. Maintain a working knowledge of all menu items and ingredients
11. Check all hot and cold food temperatures in compliance with food safety
12. Prioritize time to ensure that prep work, stocking, cleaning, dishwashing, and customer service are handled efficiently
13. Assist in bussing duties as needed, keeping dining areas clean and well stocked with supplies.
14. Clean and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, utensils, and equipment; collect and place garbage, recycling, and compostable items in designated containers.
15. Assist with all cleaning, dish washing, and other assigned food service duties.
16. Rotate all product using first in, first out (FIFO).
17. Use equipment safely and properly in accordance with training for that specific equipment, and only use equipment you have been trained to use safely.
18. Check chemical sanitation levels (PPM) on dish machine, sanitizer buckets, and report all discrepancies to management.
19. Properly handle all chemical and sanitation products.
20. Assist with any and all food preparation

Minimum qualifications:

• Fluent in English language (additional languages a plus)
• Ability to lift minimum of 25 pounds safely
• Ability to stand on feet for a minimum of 6 hours
• Reliable and timely for all shifts
• Have a can do and will do attitude!
