Job summary

Eataly Soho is hiring a part-time Cafe Counter Sales Associate to deliver exceptional guest service at our Quick Service Restaurant counters in New York. You will assist with gelato, pastries, coffee, paninis and other Italian treats, while maintaining station cleanliness and accurate cash handling.

Ideal candidates bring strong guest service skills, prior food service experience, and a willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provides service across all QSR counters.
• Completes food preparation assignments neatly and on time.
• Sets up stations and replenishes displays, including allergen separation.
• Ensures items are dated and FIFO compliant.
• Prepares collateral, weighs, labels, packages and serves products.
• Follows department policies on quality, health, safety and sanitation.
• Operates a cash register and ensures cash drops accuracy.
• Performs other duties as required.

Cafe Counter Sales Associate - Eataly Soho

At Eataly, this role is referred to as a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) Sales Associate. This person provides exceptional guest service across Eataly’s various QSR counters – serving gelato, pastries, coffee, paninis and other Italian treats. Reports to the General Manager of Quick Service Restaurants.

• Provides service across all QSR counters
• Completes food preparation assignments neatly, accurately and in a timely manner
• Sets up stations and replenishes displays neatly including separation of allergens (nuts, wheat, etc.)
• Ensures all items are dated and following First in First Out (FIFO) standards
• Prepares necessary collateral, weighs, labels, packages and serves products
• Complies with department policies and quality, health, safety and sanitation standards
• Operates a cash register and ensures accuracy of cash drops and authenticity of bills
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Job Requirements

• Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
• Ability to operate equipment such as manual espresso machine, drink blender, juicer and cash register

Compensation: This position pays a base rate of $17 per hour plus tips.
