Job summary

Berghoff Café at O’Hare in Chicago, IL is hiring a full-time crew member for the café line. You will learn all stations, deliver friendly guest service, handle food, and assist with dining room tasks as needed.

Responsibilities include engaging with customers, keeping back line clean, following sanitation protocols, maintaining food quality, minimizing waste, and using the POS to ring up orders. Evening and weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Secondary school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a high energy and demanding environment.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Basic math skills.
• Willing to work nights and weekends.
• Able to lift and carry up to 25-50lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Café customers to provide an exceptional guest experience.
• Keep the Café back line clean and orderly.
• Follow sanitation protocols and procedures.
• Maintain food quality and presentation of Café items.
• Limit waste to control food cost and utilize existing product.
• Cook food to proper temperature, follow recipes, and plate items.
• Ensure tables are clean and properly set.
• Inform supervisor of problems or unusual matters and take corrective action.
• Ring up items promptly and accurately on the POS system.
• Ensure assigned bank is in balance.
• Complete tasks as needed by management.
