We are seeking a Restaurant Server to join our team at The Westin Washington Dulles Airport. The ideal candidate will ensure guest satisfaction through excellent service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure guest satisfaction through dining room cleanliness and attention to guests’ needs.
2. Set up the assigned work station prior to opening and clean at the end of shift according to operational policies and standards.
3. Complete all necessary side-work as per restaurant schedule.
4. Be knowledgeable about all menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.
5. Answer guest questions confidently and accurately.
6. Be aware of daily specials, soups, drinks, wines, and “86” items.
7. Greet guests promptly at their tables.
8. Utilize suggestive selling techniques to increase check averages.
9. Take orders accurately and input into the kitchen management system, following proper procedures.
10. Check guest orders before serving to ensure correctness in appearance, temperature, and portions.
11. Serve orders promptly, ensuring guest needs are met and suggestively selling other items.
12. Pre-bus and bus all tables according to restaurant standards.
13. Notify management of supplies needed for efficient operation.
14. Possess a working knowledge of the property and facilities to respond to guest questions.
15. Maintain a strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, service standards, and etiquette.
16. Learn and use guest names, remember regular guests’ favorite drinks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year of previous experience as a Restaurant Server.
