Position Summary

Join the Sam's Club prepared food team to deliver exceptional customer service, manage product quality, and sustain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, educate associates on tools and resources, communicate effectively, and adapt to business needs across areas.
• Prepare food according to item specifications, plan and schedule future and mass productions, anticipate seasonality, and adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management.
• Leverage digital tools and handheld technology to make immediate production decisions, order merchandise, process club pickup orders, train associates, and monitor product quality.
• Drive the performance of the area by stocking and rotating merchandise, enforcing quality and date‑control standards, eliminating waste, and providing member service by acknowledging and meeting member needs.
• Act as a brand advocate, develop, influence, and inspire team members, and support training to foster a respectful, supportive, and team‑oriented culture.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; apply the Open Door Policy and integrate these practices into day‑to‑day operations.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt to change and feedback.

Salary

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must successfully complete all job‑required training and assessments within a prescribed time period.

Preferred Qualifications

• Food Safety Certification (Food Service).
• Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
