Position Summary

At Sam's Club, perform duties that support prepared food merchandise and member service, while adhering to food safety, inventory, and sanitation standards. Maintain knowledge of product specifications and collaborate with cross functional teams to educate associates and support business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product specifications related to prepared food merchandise; collaborate with cross functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively within the team; and be flexible to work in other areas as needed.
  • Be an Expert: Prepare food according to item specifications; plan future productions and mass productions; prepare for seasonality; adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment; and demonstrate understanding of product and layout execution.
  • Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make decisions related to production, ordering, receiving club pickup orders, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Be an Owner: Drive area performance; stock and rotate merchandise; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying needs; assist members with purchasing decisions; manage payment types; locate merchandise; and resolve member issues.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Be a brand advocate; develop, influence, and inspire others to work in a respectful, supportive, and team-oriented style; understand roadblocks and assist in training.
  • Compliance: Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Work Management: Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; identify priorities and deadlines; carry out tasks; communicate progress; and identify opportunities for improvement.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in certain circumstances (e.g., schedule, facility, season, or work performed).
