Job summary

The Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury in Lake Katrine, NY is seeking a Café Aide to join our team. You will prepare meals, serve patients and staff, and keep the café clean and welcoming.

This role emphasizes customer service, reliability, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. We offer competitive pay of $16.50–$17.50 per hour, plus benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, a 401K with employer contribution, generous PTO, and weekly or daily pay

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior kitchen experience is preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Reliable, adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work 37.5 hours/week, including alternate Saturdays and Sundays, with overtime or flexible shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals and snacks for patients and staff, maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Clean and maintain the café area and equipment.
• Handle cash and cashier responsibilities accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors.
• Restock shelves and manage inventory when needed.
• Assist with other duties to support café operations.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Café Aide to join our team at the Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury, a leading rehabilitation and community re-entry facility in Lake Katrine, NY. As a Café Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service, preparing delicious meals and snacks, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals and snacks for our patients and staff, adhering to high standards of quality and safety
• Clean and maintain the café area, including surfaces, equipment, and supplies
• Handle money and manage cashier responsibilities accurately
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors
• Restock shelves and inventory when necessary
• Assist with other duties as needed to support the smooth operation of the café

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Prior industrial/commercial kitchen experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Dependable, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Accurate and organized with strong attention to detail
• Must be able to work 37.5 hours/week, including alternate Saturdays and Sundays, with flexibility to work overtime or flexible shifts when needed
