Job summary

CADREX Manufacturing Solutions in Pennsylvania is seeking a Quality Technician II to support QMS compliance activities under the Quality Manager. The role focuses on development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in an AS9100 CNC machining environment.
  • Ability to present information in small groups to Cadrex team members.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and independently.
  • AS9100 Internal Auditor and/or ASQ Certified Quality Technician preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Quality Manager, ensure accuracy and completeness of QMS documentation in compliance with AS9100.
  • Conduct Internal Audits and evaluation of the QMS for purposes of continuous improvement.
  • Manage Document Control activities for revisions to QMS documentation, including scanning and archiving records.
  • Facilitate cross-functional CAPA projects in response to customer complaints and internal process failures.
  • Coordinate/document employee training required for QMS and product/process compliance.
  • Maintain Calibration Program by coordinating recall and outsourced calibration of measuring equipment, and some in-house calibration.
  • Complete REACH, RoHS, Conflict Mineral, Country of Origin and USMCA/NAFTA documents, when requested by customer.
  • Audit internal processes including dimensional workmanship and documentation verification.
  • Review supplier certifications for raw materials and outside processing, and work with suppliers to mitigate errors.
  • Collect data, evaluate, and present quality metrics.
  • Communicate with internal departments on quality matters, and assist Operations staff as needed.
  • May assist with incoming, in-process, and final product quality checks.
  • Learn to interpret drawings, apply GD&T, select inspection equipment, and create PPAPs and AS9102 FAIR under mentorship.

Overview

Cadrex is searching for a Quality Technician II to report directly to the Quality Manager to support Quality Management System compliance activities and the development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes, using quality concepts, principles, and methodologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Under the direction of the Quality Manager, ensure accuracy and completeness of QMS documentation in compliance with the AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Conduct Internal Audits and evaluation of the QMS for purposes of continuous improvement
  • Manage Document Control activities for revisions to QMS documentation. This includes the scanning and archiving of QMS, quality inspection and production records.

  • Review supplier certifications for raw materials and outside processing, and work with outside suppliers to mitigate any errors/corrections needed
  • Collect data, evaluate, and present quality metrics
  • Communicate directly with internal departments on quality matters, and assist Operations team members with other duties and responsibilities, as needed
  • May be asked to assist with incoming, in-process and final product quality control checks
  • Under the mentorship of Quality Engineering and Quality Technician III, learn and develop the skills to interpret drawing specifications/tolerances/Bill of Materials (BOMs), select and use inspection equipment/techniques applying GD&T principles, balloon drawings, and create PPAPs and AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR)
Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years working preferably in an AS9100 CNC machining environment
  • Ability to effectively present information in small group situations to Cadrex team members
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret graphs
  • Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and independently
  • Certified AS9100 Internal Auditor and/or ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) preferred
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
EDUCATION
  • Associate degree in related field preferred

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
