Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools seeks a Special Education Assistant for the CADRE team to support students with disabilities across district sites. Under supervision, you will assist staff in delivering individualized lessons and helping students achieve therapy and education goals.

CADRE members are permanent employees with benefits, working daily across schools; travel between sites is required and prior experience with disabilities is preferred.

Qualifications

• 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits required.
• High school diploma or GED with ParaPro score 460+.
• 2 years of experience with children or young adults.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with disabilities and support classroom functions.
• Implement individualized lessons under supervision.
• Help with behavior support, documentation, and safety.
• Support students in transportation, meals, and classes.
• Serve as a reserve SEA to cover high-need periods.
