The position requires a high school diploma and significant experience in computing or healthcare IT, with preferred bachelor’s degree and Epic Cadence certification. Hospital information systems experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 7 years of experience in computer science, business administration, healthcare administration, or nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field).
• Epic Cadence certification and experience preferred.
• Education offsets: Bachelor’s substitutes for 4 years of work experience; Master’s substitutes for 2 years; up to 2 years of clinical care may substitute for IS experience.

Responsibilities

• Translates user needs into detailed requirement specifications.
• Identifies system/application needs.
• Analyzes current business practices, user needs, and workflows.
• Documents current-state and future-state business processes.
• Performs vendor analysis and makes recommendations.
• Investigates alternative solutions and feasibility.
• Supports system installation through the implementation cycle.
• Performs configuration analysis for medium-sized projects of average complexity.
• Analyzes system problems and modifications.
• Coordinates implementation and upgrades of complex systems.
