W3Global in San Francisco, CA seeks an experienced CADD Operator to develop, update, and maintain engineering drawings, 3D models, and project documentation across rail transit and infrastructure disciplines. The role requires strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and collaboration with engineers and design teams to deliver accurate as-built documentation and support project execution.

This full-time on-site position offers growth and involvement in a major transportation modernization

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CADD production for rail transit, transportation, utility, or major infrastructure projects.
  • Experience preparing engineering drawings for rail transit systems, utility power systems, or civil infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Revit.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, design markups, civil plans, and construction documentation.
  • Experience developing and maintaining 2D drawings and coordinated 3D models.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Drafting Technology, or related technical discipline is preferred.
  • Experience supporting transportation or rail transit design projects is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • CADD Production & Documentation
  • Prepare, update, and maintain as-built drawings and engineering documentation.
  • Develop construction documentation including plans, elevations, sections, details, and schematics.
  • Maintain accurate project drawings and records throughout project delivery.
  • Create and modify engineering drawings based on project requirements and design updates.
  • Engineering Coordination
  • Coordinate drafting activities with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, markups, and technical documentation.
  • Support coordination between civil, structural, architectural, electrical, mechanical, and systems disciplines.
  • Ensure project information is accurately represented across drawings and models.
  • Modeling & Design Support
  • Develop and maintain coordinated 3D models using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit.
  • Support BIM coordination and multidisciplinary model integration.
  • Recreate and modify track alignments under the direction of engineering teams.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of project information models.
  • Project Administration
  • Maintain project databases, spreadsheets, and documentation records.
  • Support project teams with technical documentation and drafting needs.
  • Assist in maintaining organized project information throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative project environment.
